Speaker Bio: Rhonda Hoffman has dedicated her 25-year career as a librarian to serving genealogists. She is the genealogy specialist in the Buffalo and Erie County Public Library’s Special Collections Department, the Grosvenor Room. She holds a bachelor of arts in history from SUNY Geneseo and a master of library science from the University at Buffalo. Rhonda has written articles for The New York Researcher and NGS Magazine and is the education columnist for the Association of Professional Genealogists Quarterly. Rhonda serves on the board of the Western New York Genealogical Society and is the secretary of the National Genealogical Society’s Delegate Council Steering Committee. In 2024, she was honored by the New York Genealogical and Biographical Society as part of its Preservation in Action series, which spotlights leaders and trailblazers whose innovative work inspires, educates, and has a lasting impact on the genealogy and family history field.
